The
Nigerian Embassy in
Budapest issues a Letter of Introduction to any Nigerian national
residing in Hungary or countries of concurrent accreditation who seeks
to renew his or her passport. This also applies to new born babies. If you require this Letter from the Embassy, send your request for this letter well in advance.
Documents to submit:
1. An official letter addressed to the Consular Section requesting for a Letter of Introduction and indicating where passport will be processed.
2. Copy of passport datapage and Hungarian residence permit of person renewing the passport.
3. Police Report (Lost Passport only)
4. Birth certificate and Letter of consent from parents (Infants only)
The letter is issued within a few hours after submitting your request. The above listed documents can be submited in person or via email :

If unable to appear in person, you should authorize someone to submit your request and collect the letter on your behalf. The document
collection hours are Monday-Friday 10am-12noon, 2pm-4pm. Please note
that the original copy of the letter needs to be submitted to the
Nigerian Embassy in Vienna.
The letter is issued FREE OF CHARGE.
