High-Level Commemorative Meeting to mark the 60th anniversary of the First Conference of Non-Aligned Countries
The High -Level Commemorative meeting to mark the 60th Anniversary of the First Conference of Non- Aligned Countries opened on Monday, 11th October, 2021 in Belgrade, Serbia with the participation of delegations representing more than 100 countries, including Nigeria. The two day High- Level meeting is co-hosted by the President of the Republic of Serbia, H.E. Aleksandar Vucic and the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and current chair of the Non- Aligned Movement, H.E. Ilham Aliyev. The Nigerian delegation to the meeting includes Ambassador Shuaibu Adamu, representing the Honourable Minister of Foreign Affair, Ambassador Modupe Irele, Nigeria's Ambassador to Serbia (resident in Hungary), Ambassador George Edokpa, Nigeria's Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN,

Ambassador (Dr.) Modupe Irele alongside Mr. Oluwadare Oni (Senior Counsellor/Head of Chancery) today received the Croatian Ambassador to Hungary, H.E. Dr. Mladen Andrlic and Ms. Marina Sikora (First Secretary) who paid a courtey visit to the Embassy.

Ambassador (Dr.) Modupe Irele presented her Letter of Credence to the President of the Republic of Serbia, H.E. Aleksandar Vucic on 6th September, 2021 at the Serbia Hall of the Palace of Serbia. With the presentation of credentials, H.E Dr. Irele officially becomes Nigeria’s Ambassador to the Republic of Serbia with residence in Hungary. The Ambassador alongside Mr. Oluwadare Oni (Senior Counsellor/Head of Chancery) and other Embassy officials had an interactive session with members of the Nigerian community in Serbia.

BEA Scholars arrive Hungary

A group of BEA (Bilateral Education Agreement)/Stipendium Hungaricum Scholars arrived Budapest on 20th September, 2021 to commence their studies in  various Hungarian Universities. They were received at the airport by  representatives of the Nigerian Embassy; Mr. Stanley Opara ( First Secretary/Consular Officer), Mr. Opubo Ekine (Admin Attache 1) and some executive members of  Nigerians in Diaspora Organization(NIDO), Hungary. We wish all the new students success in their studies and ask them to be good Ambassadors of Nigeria.
