Requirements for Subject to Regularization (STR) Visa

For Principal Applicant

  • Letter of invitation for STR visa (addressed to Visa Department, Embassy of Nigeria, Budapest, Hungary) from the prospective employer and also stating acceptance of full immigration responsibilities (Original Copy)
  • Certified copy of Expatriate Quota approval
  • Duly completed and signed visa application form  (3 copies). 
  • Three colored passport-size photos. The size should be 45mm high x 35mm wide. It should be taken against a plain cream or plain light grey background
  • Passport (at least six months validity from the date of entry into Nigeria and one empty visa page).Two parallel pages in the passport are considered as one page
  • Copy of monthly returns indicating position to be occupied is available
  • Letter of employment and Acceptance of employment by the applicant
  • Certified English translations of all relevant credentials and certificates, which should be authenticated by the applicant’s Embassy in Budapest or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the applicant's country. The original documents shall be sighted and returned. Credentials refers to University, College or Vocational Diploma. 
  • Updated copy of your Curriculum Vitae
  • Certificate of incorporation of the company in Nigeria
  • A copy of Valid international health certificate of vaccination (Vaccination against yellow fever is mandatory. Other necessary vaccines should be recommended by your local hospitals) A copy should be attached to the application
  • Flight reservation
  • Copy of previous Nigerian visa (if available )
  • Seaman’s book (where applicable)
  • Applicable visa fees (non-refundable) which should be paid into Embassy's Bank Account.
  • All documents must be submitted in three copies
For Dependent
  • Evidence of Regularization of Principal
  • Marriage Certificate of Spouse
  • Birth certificate for children confirming nexus
