Requirements for Subject to Regularization (STR) Visa

For Principal Applicant

  • Fully completed and signed visa application form  (3 copies
  • Official Request for STR visa (addressed to Visa Department, Embassy of Nigeria, Budapest, Hungary) from the Nigerian company/NGO/INGO and also stating acceptance of full immigration responsibilities (3 Copies
  • Expatriate Quota approval OR Exemption from Quota Approval for companies working in free zones (2 Copies)
  • Recent colored passport-size photos. The size should be 45mm high x 35mm wide. It should be taken against a plain cream or plain light grey background (3 Copies)
  • Valid Passport (at least six months validity from the date of entry into Nigeria and two empty parallel visa page) (2 Copies)
  • Letter of employment from Institution/Company (2 Copies)
  • Acceptance of employment by the applicant (2 Copies)
  • Certified English translations of all relevant credentials and educational certificates relevant to the position to be occupied. All documents should be authenticated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the country where Diploma was issued. The original Diploma should be submitted for sighting. Credentials refers to University, College or Vocational Diploma. (2 Copies)
  • Curriculum Vitae (2 Copies)
  • Certificate of incorporation of the company in Nigeria.(Applicable only to Companies registered with Corporate Affairs Commission)
  • A copy of Valid international health certificate of vaccination (Vaccination against yellow fever is mandatory. Other necessary vaccines should be recommended by your local hospitals). (1 Copy)
  • Flight reservation (1 Copy)
  • Copy of previous Nigerian visa (if available ) (1 Copy)
  • $100 visa fee (non-refundable) which should be paid into Embassy's Bank Account.
For Dependent
  • Evidence of Regularization of Principal
  • Marriage Certificate of Spouse
  • Birth certificate for children
