Attestation Letter for Nigerian Baby Names in Hungary
This letter is for Nigerians in Hungary who want to register their newborn with a Nigerian name. It is only valid in Hungary and can only be issued after the baby is born. Please do not apply more than 1 month before the expected birth date. Only one letter is issued per baby.
📄 Documents You Need to Submit

✅ Scanned copy of your valid Nigerian e-passport

✅ Scanned copy of your valid Hungarian residence permit

✅ A signed request letter addressed to the Consular Department, Embassy of Nigeria. Include:

Full names you want to give your child
- Sex of the child

Your wife’s Full name

Baby’s expected date of birth

If you have twins or more, submit a separate request for each child

✅ Hospital document confirming the birth

✅ Marriage certificate (if married)

✅ Proof of payment for service and administrative charges (non-refundable)

✅ Mother's ID (passport, residence permit, or government-issued ID)

Online Transfer: Transfer the fee and submit the e-receipt

Banks may charge a transfer fee—make sure the total matches the required amount

Include the type of service in the “remarks” section of your payment

Submit proof of payment with your documents

Payments are confirmed only after the Finance Section verifies your transfer
- If there are shortfalls in the amount received, you will be required to make the shortfall payment before your request is processed
